You Turn Around And Then She's Four

Our Shelby Marie turned 4 this month-unbelievable, wasnt she just two ?

She is a lot like her sister Julia in many respects but she is certainly her own little self as well.

She has the most gorgeous blue eyes

And a smile that is sure to melt hearts (already melts mine)

 She kinda likes her great auntie Kelly

And has fun playing with her cousin Dezbah

She wasnt so sure about our 'happy birthday to' you singing

But was pretty sure about her gifts

Once the candles were blown out

It was time to party

There were bubble machines

For daddys too

I love taking bubble shots

Julia and Dezbah had fun chasing them

While I clicked away

There was pool time

With Aunt Kelly 

And a relaxed Rachel

Shelby showed off her swimming skills (she's the fish swimming with her head in the water)

Julia jumped

As Rachel caught

And Daddy wore funky goggles

The day came to an end with family pictures

Lenny's Dad, bonus mom Alisa and family were all there

This may be the first ever family photo of us-Alisa realized that I am never in pictures since I am always taking them.  We had almost everyone except Ryan and his family, David's brother Dan and Dezbah's daddy Melvin.

Dear Shelby Marie-you melt my heart, I will forever be amazed at how much a grandma can love her grandkids and you are one special grandkid.  Happy 4th year to you my little girl :)

It was a fun day with great people.  Thank you once again to Lenny and Kelly for always being willing to host the bunch of us and to Rachel for always trying to make it to these gatherings.  Someday we may ALL get together in the same spot-it is my dream.

A Hippie Wedding

  At Gloria and Dive's waterfront acres

The restroom was placed

And dressed up appropriately

 Cool signs were put up

There were white  beards

Serious looking convos

There were cribbage players (with no cribbage to be played)

There was a flower girl

And peace signs

And Hermie

There was a fire

And a hobo

A flood

And Nose

There was family

And family

And family galore

There were tats

And kisses

And peace signs

But no swimming

There were cell phones

And friends

And tall tales told

And Deb

There were fireworks

And hugs from a dad to his daughter

There were sisters

Great smiles

And Evil 

There was a sandbox (thank you Sonny)

Time for relaxation

A birthday boy

And Lips

There was tye dye

 Special friends

Peeps to watch the piggie

And a sitter to watch David

There was a best friend and a best man

A grandpa and his grandbaby

And there was Dive-a Harley man-Viet Nam Vet and one of the coolest guys I have ever met

There was a man with a cowboy hat, a smoke and the American Flag

And Bella

There was a band

Finale instructions given 

And Smooze

Denise sang

As proud poppa looked on

People danced

Gwen yanked on Nose's ear

 And little Izzy sang (belting out the National Anthem like nobody's business)

 Luminaries were lit

 And let go

Rings were exchanged

The best man spoke

The cake was cut
