There's something about getting together with friends, spending your days in the woods and evenings playing cards, that is just hard to beat. David, Lenny and I just returned from the northland and our annual deer hunt with the Steve D and Dave F families.

The weather and moon were not helpful in the hunt (danged deer were running all night long and bedded down during the day) but I did get a few pictures that I will share. Mikey I have to tell you that David AGAIN almost got me lost in that very same woods that he took all of us to this summer. Not only did he almost get us lost but he almost got us stuck. In fact the truck was burried in a mud hole up to the top of the passenger tire!

On our way up (we left home at 6am) we caught a beautiful sunrise and as you can see the snow geese were enjoying it as well.

Message for today-take the time to enjoy a sunrise or sunset. Just take the time..........
