Picture this. Ma and Pa Kettle on their work horsed pulling a two bottom plow and a disk er. Gotta get the soil ready for plantin ya know.
Well we don't have work horses YET but yup we have a two bottom plow and a disk er. Went to an auction and purchased these two antiques for next to nothing.

Our little jeep will pull these two through the 'field' very nicely. We are going to plant sweet corn, potatoes and who knows what else! At $6 a dozen it pays to grow our own corn!
And Kelly L you are right (cuz I know you are thinking this) David will be the one in the jeep and I will be the one doing any raking that needs to be done and all of the planting, weeding and watering, in other words all of the physical work as usual!
Today I tried my hand at canning beets and am about to make up my bread and butter pickles.
Grandma's update-
Abigail Rose, Ry and Jen are settling into parenthood and enjoying themselves.
Kelly has had a lot of pressure this past week and has not been able to sleep. Today she is almost fully effaced and is dilated to 2. What do you think Jen, how long will she go?

Kelly I am guessing 3-5 days and your little one will be here. Probably this weekend!! I wish you a short labor like I had.
Today is Abigail's first outing, to the pediatrician. Looks like tomorrow may be our first trip, not looking forward to that, but we better be safe then sorry with this hurricane approaching us. I imagined our first trip would be fun, instead of fleeing.
