Yep that 'fan' of cash in Gail's hand is what ten thou looks like
And that smiling face is what a ten thousand dollar winner looks like
She had to re-count it a few times with a look of disbelief on her face. Needless to say that cashola is now safe and sound in a Canadian bank.
'Get off me Fran' hollered Gail. Fran was so darned excited she jumped on Gail hugging the heck out of her
So excited in fact that even David got a hug
A toast with the lucky winner and her other half Neil :)
For the past three weeks Neil and Gail have had friends from Florida visiting whose time here is ending Tuesday. And since March 3rd happened to be Neil and Gail's 45 (yes 45th) wedding anniversary, we decided to have a little get together to say goodbye and happy anniversary. There was ham, cheesy potatoes, veggies a bottle of wine (I even had a bit) and a happy anniversary cake.
Fran cuts the cake as Bob looks on in anticipation
A group picture of the motley crew. The hardest part of going home is not seeing our wonderful group of friends for a few months
And there was an 'after the party' down and dirty card game. Bob doesn't know David very well thus he hasn't yet realized that most of what comes out of that mouth is lots of bs!
It was a great weekend with wonderful weather and good friends.
